Dr. Bordin Rasameethes
Associate Professor<br />Kasetsart University
Dr. Bordin Rasameethes is an Associate Professor at Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand; Acting Deputy Secretary, General Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center, Thailand; Independent Director, Electricity Generating Public Company Limited, Thailand. He also became the Dean of Faculty of Business Administration from 2010-2013 and former Vice President, Kasetsart University, Sri Racha Campus, Thailand; and former Advisor to Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Deputy Minister of Transportation, Thailand. His expertise and passion include innovation and business management.
Dr. Rasameethes has been working in technology management, including electronic commerce, information technology, rural informatics, and supply chain management both in public and private firms. In particular, he oversees the planning, maintenance, and operation of information systems of his clients in the business world.
In addition, Dr. Rasameethes has a strong background and has been recognized in the field of business management. He published more than 100 articles in refereed journals and five books. Also, he published over 100 articles in magazines, serving as a columnist in Thailand Bloomberg Businessweek.
Dr. Ma. Regina Justina E. Estuar
Professor<br />Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, Ateneo de Manila University
Dr. Reena Estuar is a full time Professor at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, Ateneo de Manila University. She founded the Ateneo Social Computing Laboratory in 2012 with the goal of developing social computing platforms for social good. She has been managing the Ateneo Center for Computing Competency and Research (ACCCRe, formerly the Ateneo Java Wireless Competency Center – AJWCC) since 2007. Her research area includes: eHealth Systems, specifically on electronic medical records, disease surveillance systems and health informatics and social computing including: natural language processing and social network analysis.
Dr. Reena co-founded two platforms: BluEHR, an electronic medical record platform that facilitates the digitization of health records in rural health facilities and tugon.ph, an sms-web based incident monitoring platform that is currently being used for reporting and monitoring human rights violations. Dr. Estuar is a 2019 TOWNS awardee for Science and Technology. She has been awarded 2020 Senior Fellow by the Philippine Public Safety College. Dr. Reena is the program manager of the FASSSTER disease surveillance platform, the official disease modeling platform of the DOH for Covid-19 surveillance.
Dr. Reena obtained her doctorate degree in the field of Psychology and master’s degree in Computer Science at Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder<br />Jala Tech
Ms. Liris Maduningtyas is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Jala Tech, a data-driven company that provides services for aquaculture, mainly shrimps. Based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, JALA provides IoT [internet of things] water-quality monitoring systems for pond-based farming, with a farm management platform in advance. Through machine learning, they deliver early-warning and decision-support systems for farmers so they can select the right treatment for their ponds, based on real-time data. Currently, the management system is already trusted and used by thousands of shrimp farmers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
A C-level woman leader, Ms. Maduningtyas is recognized as one of the leading entrepreneurs in the aquaculture industry. She has been invited to speak by a lot of platforms in Indonesia to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs. This year, she was listed in Forbes Asia’s 30 under 30 in Industry, Manufacturing and Energy which presents young achievers and game-changers.
Ms. Maduningtyas graduated in 2014 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. She then worked as an assistant teacher for a program run by the University and Schneider Electric. After finishing her final year project at Chevron, she joined Schlumberger as a field engineer stationed in Riau, Indonesia. Liris left a year later to join fellow UGM graduates to establish electronics startup Atnic. Liris managed the marketing and financial affairs of Atnic that created Jala for shrimp farmers and was promoted to CEO of Jala in 2018.
